Thymus × citriodorus

Hardy evergreen perennial with a spreading habit and attractive lemon scented leaves. Small flowers appear in spring and summer. Plant as a ground cover between pavers, in pots or in the garden.

Growing Tip: Cultivate well drained soil before planting. Tip prune regularly to encourage fresh growth. Apply half strength fertiliser during spring.

Uses: Add to fish and poultry, cream sauces and salads. Infuse leaves to make a mild tea reputed to relieve headaches. Lemon thyme is best used fresh.
